What this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains how Datum Blade Care (“Datum,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you visit datumbladecare.ca or join our waitlist.

Information we collect

• Email address. When you join the waitlist, we collect the email address you provide so we can notify you about product launches, availability, and related updates.
• Signup source. We may record which part of the site you signed up from (for example, the hero form or the footer form) to understand what is working.
• Analytics data. We use PostHog, Google Analytics, and Klaviyo to collect information about how visitors interact with the site — such as pages viewed, scroll depth, button clicks, device type, browser, and approximate location. This helps us improve the experience.
• Technical data. Our hosting infrastructure (Lovable Cloud / Supabase) may automatically log standard server information such as IP address, request timestamps, and browser user-agent strings for security and reliability.

How we use your information

• To deliver waitlist notifications, product launch updates, and welcome emails.
• To send a one-time automated welcome/confirmation email when you sign up.
• To notify our team internally when a new person joins the waitlist.
• To measure site performance, analyze user interaction, and diagnose technical issues.
• To protect our legal rights, prevent fraudulent activity, and comply with applicable laws.

Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run the site, communicate with you, and measure our marketing:

• Lovable Cloud / Supabase — database hosting and secure storage of waitlist entries.
• Resend — automated delivery of transactional welcome and confirmation emails.
• Klaviyo — subscriber management, email automation, and marketing communications.
• PostHog and Google Analytics — website traffic analytics, interaction tracking, and performance measurement.

Each of these providers has their own privacy policy and is contractually limited to using your data only for the services they provide to us.

Artificial Intelligence and Data Training

We do not sell your personal information, nor do we use or license your personal information to train artificial intelligence (AI) or machine learning models.

Cookies and tracking

We use essential and analytics cookies (such as PostHog and Google Analytics) to ensure site security, analyze site performance, and understand visitor traffic patterns. We do not currently use advertising or retargeting tracking pixels.

Data retention

We keep waitlist email addresses for as long as you remain subscribed or until you ask us to delete them. Analytics data may be retained according to the retention policies of our analytics providers.

Children's Privacy

Our website is not intended for individuals under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal data from children. If we discover that personal data from a child has been collected, we will delete it immediately.

Your rights

You have the right to access, update, or request the deletion of your personal data at any time. You may also opt out of marketing communications by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email. Depending on your jurisdiction (such as Canada under PIPEDA / Law 25, or California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have additional statutory rights regarding the restriction of tracking and data handling.
